Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters Review

I'm always over excited when I see any favourites videos from my favourite YouTube gurus, but when I saw that Ingrid (missglamorazzi) had featured a Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in her favourites of the month, I definitely went into overdrive! I had been reading up on the line of lip butters (they had been reviewed by quite a hefty number of gurus out there so I had a lot of information to go on already!) and I couldn't make up my mind whether to indulge myself or not. However, when I saw Ingrid's video my heart was set on buying one of these bad boys.  I popped into boots to buy 1 and -typical Philippa- I came out with 3 instead.

063-Wild Watermelon 090-Sweet Tart 095-Creme Brulee

I absolutely love all three of these colours, so i'm glad I got them all at the same time! Number 063 is called 'Wild Watermelon' and is a very pretty coral red/orange colour. I think this looks great on all types of skin tone and can give a pop of colour to any look. The next colour is 090 'Sweet Tart'. This is a very typical girly colour, very pink and sweet. The only downside to this lip butter is that it can look a little too overpowering if applied fully, so I would recommend applying a small amount to your lips and then toning the colour down by blending it with your finger. The third lip butter I picked up was 095 'Creme Brulee', I love this colour because it is incredibly versatile as it is a completely nude colour and I also fell in love with the name, it's just so cute! Anyway, this colour can be worn on a day to day basis because it is a nude shade with a slight shimmer to it and as you can see from the image below, it has been well loved by yours truly. But again, I would recommend using the same method of application as mentioned before as it does have a tendency to look like the dreaded 'foundation lips' if applied too heavily.

Another great point to the lip butters is the packaging. Revlon have made a really smart move with these lip colours as they are compact and if you tend to chuck lipsticks in your bag and then forget which colour you've put in, these are definitely handy, as you can easily see which colour is which by solely looking at the packaging!

On the whole, I love these and would recommend to anyone! I believe Boots sell them for £6.99 so they are really very good quality for price.

Anyway guys, I must dash because I'm going to the Proms! I might post some pictures on here when I get to my sister's house as I am staying there for a few days.

Thanks for reading everyone and as always, stay tuned for more content soon!
